Question:
How much of the information Health-Minder asks for is actually required? Do I really have to fill in all the boxes?
Answer:
When you add a new person to the database, you must enter the name, gender, and birth date. Everything else is optional.
When you add a new health care event, the date and health care provider are required. For some items, such as a test or treatment, the name of the test /treatment is also required. Entering cost and insurance claim information is always optional.
If you don't enter something Health-Minder needs, you will be told what else is required.
Sometimes, you may want to add more. You may add information not on the data entry form by clicking on Notepad. For example, you may wish to add a note with a person's social security number or who is the health care proxy for this family member. For a test, you may wish to add pre-test preparation instructions, or additional information about your test results.
