Question: My computer crashed and I lost all my files. So I downloaded Health-Minder again and used the password you gave me the first time. But the password doesn't work. What do I do now?
Answer: The password is stored in the Health-Minder database, so if you lose all your files, you have lost your data and your password. So please make frequent backups of the database files: c:\hminder\base\objects.idx and c:\hminder\base\objects.dat.
If you have to re-install Health-Minder, do so and then copy your backup files into c:\hminder\base. Your data and password will be there.
If you don't have a backup, re-install Health-Minder and look for the expiration date on the screen with the four buttons (Continue, Register, Enter Password, Quit).
If you have already paid to register, you don't need to do that again. Send the new expiration date to support@health-minder.com and we will look for you in our registered users database and send you a new password. Use the Enter Password button and type it in.
The password is based on the expiration date, among other things, so your previous password probably won't work.
