The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) has developed a certification process for online pharmacies, called the VIPPS program. Approved sites must show they are properly licensed in at least 40 states, assure patient confidentiality, provide detailed information about the training of their medical staffs and phone numbers for medical or business questions. Approved sites display the VIPPS seal. The first four online pharmacies to meet NABP standards are:
CVS.com Has "Drug DoubleCheck" feature to see possible drug interactions.
drugstore.com Associated with RiteAid pharmacies. Site has good search and index features.
Merck-Medco Rx Services Available to members of the Merck-Medco Managed Health Care Plan.
PlanetRx.com Links to DrKoop.com for drug interactions database. Site has a wealth of drug information and general health topics.
You may also find these sites useful, though not VIPPS approved as yet:

FamilyMeds.com Low prices, an "Ask the Pharmacist" feature, and patient education about health conditions including causes, symptoms, drug treatments, natural remedies.
